Thomas (Tom) Cassidy
Thomas (Tom) Robert Cassidy (79) passed away suddenly Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Mexico. He was born July 7th, 1944 in Petoskey, son of Robert & Catherine Cassidy.
Tom grew up in Harbor Springs where he graduated from Harbor Springs High School with the class of 1961. He was a member of the National Guard and worked at Cassidy Hardware in downtown Harbor Springs. On April 16, 1966 he married the love of his life Ramona Shepherd. They remained in Harbor Springs where they raised their four children Julia, Jerry, Dorthy and Katie.
Tom was always full of life, laughter and adventure. He loved to go boating, camping and fishing in the summertime and also spend time at his lake property on Cecil bay with his family and friends. He loved to hunt in the fall and in the winter time he loved to snowmobile. He had a true charm and was loved by many people. He left an impact on all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Catherine Cassidy and his brother, Michael Cassidy.
Tom is survived by his wife, Ramona Cassidy; his children Julia (Denny) Kruzel; Jerry (Leigh) Cassidy; Dorthy (Keith) George; Katie Cassidy Gudakunst; his siblings, Margaret Cassidy; Jim Cassidy; Cathy Cassidy; Bob (Lois) Cassidy; his grandchildren, Adam (Maria) Yeager; Joshua Kruzel; Nakita Cassidy; Tristin Cassidy; Thomas George; David (Sarah) George; Rachel Vizina; Cassidy Gudakunst; and several great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial to follow at a later date.
